What if the reason you keep struggling to make lasting changes isn’t because you need more willpower but because part of you is still operating from an old story? In this episode of PCOS Unfiltered: Nourish, Heal, Thrive, I sit down with Matt Travis, hypnotherapist, Rapid Transformational Therapy practitioner, coach, and someone who played an important role in my own journey, to explore the subconscious mind and the patterns that may be influencing our health, habits, beliefs, and behaviors. Matt shares how his background in fitness and strength and conditioning led him to a question he couldn’t stop asking: Why can some people make a change and maintain it, while others continually find themselves back where they started? That question eventually led him beyond exercise and nutrition and into human psychology, subconscious beliefs, hypnotherapy, and the mind-body connection. We talk about how early experiences can shape the stories we carry about ourselves, why rejection and people-pleasing may influence our choices, and how a diagnosis like PCOS can sometimes become part of our identity in ways we don’t even realize. Matt also explains what hypnotherapy actually looks like, why you remain in control during a session, and how he uses Rapid Transformational Therapy to help clients explore beliefs and experiences they may still be carrying. If you’ve ever thought, “I know what I’m supposed to do, so why can’t I just do it?” this conversation may give you a completely different place to start.
Listening is a great place to start, but lasting change happens when you begin putting these ideas into practice.

This week, instead of trying to immediately change a habit you’ve been struggling with, get curious about the story underneath it.
Choose one area where you continually feel stuck, maybe it’s food, movement, your weight, boundaries, self-care, or another health habit.
Then pause and ask yourself:
❤️ What do I currently believe about myself in this area?
❤️ When did I first start believing this?
❤️ Is this belief actually true or has it simply become familiar?
❤️ What am I afraid might happen if I changed?
❤️ What would I like to believe about myself instead?
Matt describes the subconscious as being drawn toward what feels safe, familiar, predictable, and certain, even when the pattern itself is no longer serving us.
Matt Travis is a coach, hypnotherapist, and Rapid Transformational Therapy practitioner whose work explores the connection between the subconscious mind, identity, habits, health, and personal transformation.

(0:05) Okay, so welcome, Matt. Let's start with you. So can you tell listeners who you are, (0:13) a little bit more about who you are, and how you got into hypnotherapy, (0:17) and what just first sparked your interest in the subconscious mind and its role in healing? (0:24) Yeah, so I'm Matt Travis, and I am so excited to be here, Lindsay, because a lot of people, (0:30) maybe in your listeners, like have tried all of the traditional routes, right? That's like, (0:37) what why I kind of got into this is to figure out what body transformation and health transformation (0:44) really consists of.So when I started back in two, I got out of college, physical education, (0:51) health degree, and started, you know, teaching and then coaching football. And then I got into (0:57) fitness and strength and conditioning, certifications, all that stuff. And then I (1:01) opened my gym, and I realized, like, I basically asked myself this question, how come some people (1:09) get results and can't keep them? How come some people try everything, and they never get results? (1:16) And then how come it's so effortless for some people, they get results and keep them no problem? (1:21) What is that all about? And so that led me on like, a 10 year journey from 2010 to 2020, (1:30) to really understand human psychology and why we do what we do, why we get results, (1:38) what this is really all about. So if you're listening right now, and you've been kind of like (1:43) stuck, or you haven't found the thing that's working for you. I hope this conversation (1:50) supports you and helps you, if nothing else, feel like you're not alone. (1:56) Yeah, for sure. And I mean, I think we could go down a rabbit hole with how our stories (2:00) align. But that's definitely something I saw in the gym, too. And you really helped open my eyes (2:06) to all of that.So for people who aren't familiar, how would you explain the role of the subconscious (2:12) in our everyday health and behavior? Yeah, so I like to keep it really simple. (2:18) Imagine if you just had like a courtroom stenographer walking around with you your (2:23) entire life, and just was taking notes on everything, all of the time, every single day. (2:29) And imagine it was really, really, really taking notes very, very, very well, from the ages of zero (2:37) to seven years old.Okay? Because that's when you just are like a sponge, you're in hypnosis, (2:44) basically, that during that timeframe, and you're just picking up everything. Like I always (2:51) like people to understand, like your parents have such an impact on you, probably more than (2:57) anybody else, or your caregivers, whoever was bringing, you know, bringing you up. (3:01) But your parents, your caregivers, your teachers, your coaches from like, we could even go zero to (3:07) 10, if you really wanted to, but like, that timeframe is so impactful on really solidifying (3:16) what's like a lot of your stories and the way that you interact with the world. And when I was (3:25) questioning this, when I was asking myself that question, how come some people get results, (3:29) you know, they go to a gym, or they do a diet, they lose, you know, 100 pounds, (3:34) and then they gain it all back. What the hell is that about? And it's simply because you have (3:39) a program that runs that your subconscious has taken notes on. And it's like, decided that this (3:47) is what is safe, familiar, predictable, and certain. That's what it is. And so and it's great (3:54) that we have this. So a lot of people get really angry about this. But it's so important. Like if (3:59) we wouldn't actually be here talking on this podcast right now, if that didn't exist, because (4:05) we would have never survived this long. Like we needed we need the subconscious because you know, (4:11) like when we were back, you know, 100s 1000s years ago, we're on the plains of Africa. And we're (4:19) like, trying to take these snapshots. So the subconscious is taking snapshots all the time, (4:25) right? It's like snapshot, that's where the other tribe is. And it might attack at any time.So we (4:31) got to remember where that is. snapshot, there's the bear den, I got to make sure we don't go near (4:37) that. So we don't get eaten.Right snapshot at nighttime, lions and tigers and things come out. (4:44) And we need to make sure that we have a person that stands guard so we don't all die. Right? (4:49) There's all of this that happens. And it's, it's so important that we have that, because it's what (4:55) keeps us for it's what's kept us actually alive and safe, most of our lives. And we even have it (5:03) where, you know, we were tribal people for so long. And if you were rejected from the tribe, (5:12) that meant death. And so a lot of us massively, massively fear rejection. So like, for example, (5:19) when we go out, we eat with our friends, you know, we go out, you go for a girl's night, (5:24) you're eating with your friends, you don't want to be the odd one out, not eating the things. (5:29) And so what do we do, we turn into our pleaser self, and we start to, like dive in, and then we (5:35) regret that horribly, the next day, because we're like, we feel horrible. So there's just so much (5:41) more around this, like the subconscious is, it's everything. It's everything, folks. It's what (5:47) designs your identity, your beliefs, your patterns, your habits, your standards, (5:52) your stories, all values, everything. So you're talking about how everything is (5:57) processed. So how do unprocessed emotions or subconscious beliefs influence our health, (6:03) physical health? Yeah, yeah. And I like people to picture it like this.Imagine that we all are (6:10) walking around with a like, filing cabinet in our head. Okay, so everybody have that picture (6:17) in their head, they have a filing cabinet in your head. And imagine this filing cabinet, (6:21) all the doors are open in the filing cabinet. And there's files like shoved in, some of them (6:27) are crumpled up and put in there. Some of them are hanging out, there's stuff flying out of it. (6:33) Those are all of the unprocessed thoughts, feelings, events, all the stuff that we never (6:41) processed. And we just kind of moved on. And we're like, I'm good. You're not like, like, (6:48) that's why therapy.Regardless, I'm not going to go into the deep, well, we could, but there's many (6:55) different kinds of therapy. Okay, there's talk therapy, there's so many different kinds. What I (6:59) found is that when I can use rapid transformation therapy, which is a mix of neuro, neuro linguistic (7:09) programming, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy delivered on a platter of hypnosis and (7:16) hypnotherapy, it allows me to ultimately help you unpack and put the file back in, in a way that (7:25) makes sense.Because think of it this way, you might have an unprocessed file from your (7:31) childhood, let's say, you know, one that I always think about, because this one stuck with me so (7:37) much from one of my sessions was, people don't, when people think of trauma, they think war, (7:46) or they think physical, sexual, emotional abuse, right? That's what they think of. (7:50) So they think of like very dark things. So I had this one client, she came to me, she was like, (7:56) I just want to release weight, I just have so much trouble with and so on and so forth. One of (8:00) the scenes we went back to was her mother, when so when she was a freshman in high school, (8:06) she put a tank top on and her mother said, you look fat, or you can't wear that type of thing. (8:12) That was very traumatic to her. So trauma doesn't care. It's not like a level system, (8:19) like your body is like, and of course, we don't categorize it as that either. We just know we (8:25) didn't feel good when when this person we loved said that thing to us. But that took a snapshot.(8:31) I'm fat, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right? And so it sticks with you forever. So it's these (8:38) unprocessed thoughts that that and emotions and feelings that we have around an event. It's not (8:45) even the event because somebody else that had that same event could be like, shut up, mom, (8:52) you know, like, get off my back and not it wouldn't even have stuck. But for this woman, (8:57) it did. So everybody processes different things. But it's the meanings, the feelings and the (9:04) meanings that we give to these things. And so when we can go through them, when we're an adult, (9:09) we have a little bit more understanding. And we have like, you know, our brain is fully formed, (9:14) we can actually make more logical and emotional shifts easier. That make sense? (9:24) Yeah.Yeah, that's great. Yeah. I love the analogy of the file.(9:28) It made so much sense. I was like, I feel so good when I think about it. Because I'm like, (9:32) that's why everyone, everyone can benefit from therapy, y'all like I we need to get rid of the (9:39) stigma around therapy.I find a lot of people join a gym when they probably should go and talk (9:46) to a therapist, like they join a gym to lose weight, when in actuality, they have unprocessed, (9:51) they have a filing cabinet that is kind of messy. And they just need to go through that. But why (9:57) do we not want to do that? We don't want to touch this, like, we don't want to look at it.But I (10:02) say we can with clients, my clients, it's we see it, and we'd be free of it. (10:09) Yeah. I feel like you kind of touched a little bit.But what are what are some common limiting (10:13) beliefs that you've seen in women, and maybe more specifically women with PCOS? (10:20) Oh, great question. I feel like, well, let's do PCOS first. And then we'll just do the broad. But (10:26) I feel like when people get a diagnosis, right, diagnosis is like, it does some, (10:35) it does some things that are helpful, and then it can do some things that are not helpful. Okay. (10:40) So for example, and this is something that was really powerful for me when I was younger.(10:46) And for those of you that are listening, you'll start to know I, (10:49) I go down these rabbit holes, call them ADHD sidequests. So here we go, folks. So just to (10:58) understand why diagnoses are really, really, really powerful, because we we have people (11:06) telling us what we can and can't do our whole lives, or what will or won't happen to us.(11:11) Right. So my entire childhood, I was told, you know, that I had learning disabilities and all (11:17) this stuff. And then even in college, they were like, you know, my guidance counselor was like, (11:22) you'd be lucky to get into college with your grades and your, your, you know, your your SAT (11:29) scores. And I was like, you can't tell me what I can and cannot do. And then I got into college, (11:35) same thing happened. They were like, you'd be lucky to get into the major. And I was like, (11:38) you can't tell me what I can and cannot do. And then even at the end of college, they were like, (11:42) you'd be lucky to get a job out of college. And I was like, can't tell me what I can and cannot do.(11:47) And then I was listening to this speaker, this guy had no arms, no legs. (11:51) And he was in a wheelchair and he was just a motivational speaker. (11:53) And I really wish I remembered his name.(11:55) Cause it really had such an impact on me at that time. (11:58) Cause after those three events, I, he's, he said something (12:02) that stuck with me forever. (12:03) He said, he said, never accept a diagnosis that doesn't empower you.(12:09) And so I share this with you folks, because many of you that are listening (12:15) to this have found, uh, Lindsay, because you have been diagnosed with PCOS. (12:24) Okay. (12:24) And you may feel like I'm done.(12:28) I'm cooked. (12:29) There's no, there's no losing weight for me. (12:31) It's just kind of how it is.(12:33) Right. (12:33) So you have been given this diagnosis and you have, you've created a meaning (12:39) and a rule in your subconscious that there's nothing that we can do. (12:44) Okay.(12:45) And there's plenty. (12:48) All right. (12:48) There's plenty.(12:49) When I started learning about, uh, women and female hormones, all that stuff (12:56) and gut health and everything, I started to realize there's just a bunch of (13:00) misinformation out there that leads people to believe, uh, another example (13:04) of this is anybody that when I just say the word menopause, that can cause a (13:12) woman that's not in menopause to just kind of have a hot flash or a freak (13:16) out feeling that they're like, oh my God, I can't, I never want to go through (13:20) that because you hear horror stories. (13:22) Okay. (13:22) And a lot of those horror stories are because those individuals just accepted (13:27) that fate and they didn't realize that, um, sleep, food and movement (13:34) can make that so much better.(13:38) So like, so, so much easier. (13:40) And the same goes for PCOS. (13:42) Okay.(13:42) So there's always hope like my, my, uh, LLC is called Save Hope. (13:49) It's I, and I started it back when I ran my gym and it was just this idea (13:55) that folks, this can, this can work out for you and your mind is the most (14:03) powerful computer ever of all time, ever, ever, ever, ever. (14:10) And your mind is creating your actions or inactions.(14:16) So it's creating everything. (14:18) So if you have a belief in a story that you can't lose, I like to use the word (14:25) release, wait, then you won't. (14:30) So it's that saying, whether you believe you can or can't.(14:33) You're right. (14:35) So for, for anyone that's listening, like if you've, if you've accepted your (14:42) diagnoses and that it, and it doesn't empower you look at it and say, you know (14:47) what, there's a reason you've stumbled across Lindsay, like there's a reason (14:52) you're here, there's a reason you're listening. (14:54) Okay.(14:55) So that's, that's whatever you believe that's it's what's led you to here. (15:00) Okay. (15:02) So, uh, I remember speaking, I was speaking to a room of a hundred people (15:07) and a woman raised her hand and she said, uh, I can't lose weight.(15:15) And so I asked her a question and she had a massive shift. (15:18) All I asked her, I said, have you ever, you know, or she said, I can't lose weight. (15:23) I said, have you ever released weight before? (15:25) Have you ever lost weight before? (15:26) She said, oh yeah, a ton of times.(15:28) And I said, okay. (15:30) So losing weight, isn't your issue. (15:33) Her issue was keeping it off, right? (15:37) Why was it keep, why was the issue keeping off? (15:39) Cause there's programs that run to keep you coming back to those things.(15:44) And it's not just your programs from childhood, it's programs from like (15:48) literally our whole society is programmed, like from the movies and anyone that's (15:53) listening, I want you to shout it out in the car or wherever you're listening to (15:57) when a woman in a movie gets broken up with for in a movie, if they have a (16:06) breakup, what do they then go and eat in the breakup? (16:13) What do they go and eat in the breakup? (16:15) They show her in her apartment, sweat pants, kind of crazy mess, (16:20) you know, wild, messy hair. (16:21) She's crying. (16:22) She's eating, she's eating something, right? (16:25) Everybody's having this picture.(16:26) I don't even need to say it. (16:28) They already know, right? (16:29) She's eating an entire carton of ice cream, right? (16:32) And she's just married up. (16:34) Why is that every movie? (16:36) Why is that the same thing? (16:37) Why do we know the type of soda that Santa Claus drinks? (16:43) Why do we know that? (16:45) Right? (16:45) So you're being marketed and sold to consciously, subconsciously, (16:52) all the time, folks, all the time.(16:54) And it's our job, it's our job to take ownership and responsibility of our (17:00) life and know that we can change everything and it all starts in the (17:07) mind, specifically the subconscious. (17:10) But the conscious is the first line of defense, which we can go down that (17:14) rabbit hole, but did that answer the question, I think? (17:18) Oh, for sure. (17:19) I mean, I think if you're listening, if you don't take anything else away, (17:23) like that right there, I think is the most powerful stuff.(17:27) Uh, and even seeing it from the medical side, when you, they get, you know, (17:33) when a patient gets handed diagnosis, a lot of the times it's, this is a (17:37) lifelong condition, you know, or this is something we're going to have to (17:41) manage that already puts that in your head. (17:45) Right. (17:45) And so, yeah.(17:47) So being able to, to see past that is huge. (17:51) So I loved all the stuff you just said there. (17:54) Can I add one piece to that? (17:56) Cause like, I remember, so this is nothing against doctors (18:02) and in the medical profession.(18:04) This is just simply like most of what's happening is based off of two things. (18:09) It's just research over the longterm changes things, right. (18:14) And then there's also money involved in this, folks.(18:17) They're like, weight loss is a billion dollar industry, maybe trillion, (18:21) I don't even know it's a lot. (18:22) Okay. (18:23) And, but the, the thing is, is that, um, there's tons of money (18:27) to be had in this, right? (18:29) There's, what was that? (18:31) Like, there's all these different things, but I remember hearing this (18:34) story that like blew my mind and it was the story of how back in the day.(18:43) I don't even know when that is, when back in the day is, but it was, let's (18:47) just imagine the early 1900s. (18:49) Okay. (18:50) Um, there was a lot of women dying from childbirth.(18:55) Okay. (18:56) And they were just, they were just passing away after childbirth. (18:59) And one guy postulated, he was like, he basically figured it out.(19:04) He was like, you know what? (19:05) I think it's the fact that us doctors, we are, you know, we're, we're working (19:12) with cadavers and we're working with these dead bodies and then we're going (19:17) and we're, you know, delivering babies. (19:20) After that, I think there might be a, a germ issue. (19:24) Like, I think there might be an issue that's causing this problem.(19:28) And literally for 50 years, they were like, nope, no, that's not, that's not, uh, (19:38) that's not, no, they wouldn't accept it. (19:42) And then finally they, it took some time for them to accept (19:46) that this is actually how it is. (19:48) So that blew my mind.(19:50) And I remember being like, duh, hello. (19:54) Uh, and so, so what happens is a lot of times it's that the doctors don't know. (19:59) They don't, most doctors have like an hour worth of nutrition in their, in their (20:07) whole degree, eight years.(20:08) Yeah. (20:09) Yeah. (20:09) So like, that's not, unless they go above and beyond, and that's why finding a (20:13) great, uh, you know, primary care is important, but it's like, unless they go (20:18) and do the research themselves, they're not going to know this stuff.(20:21) And so I realized that if I didn't learn this on my own, like no one (20:25) was going to teach me this. (20:27) Like I, I, I had horrible gut health issues. (20:30) Like I destroyed my gut health and we could go down that rabbit hole today.(20:33) But, um, that's what led me to be like, I'm not only going to help myself. (20:39) With my own hormones and my gut health and all this stuff, but I'm going to draw a (20:44) line in the sand so that I can support anyone that comes across, uh, in, in my (20:49) life so that they don't have to feel alone. (20:52) Yeah.(20:53) Yeah. (20:54) So can you share how hypnotherapy actually works to help rewire all of this stuff? (21:01) Yeah. (21:03) Hypnotherapy freaks people out.(21:05) Okay. (21:06) Why? (21:06) Because it's the, I, the irony is the craziest part of it, right? (21:12) Cause your subconscious is like, I've seen stage hypnosis. (21:17) You're going to make me clock like a chicken or bark like a dog.(21:20) Or, you know, what if he's, what if he gets me to rob a bank or (21:24) whatever, like that's none of that's real folks. (21:26) Okay. (21:27) But guess what's happening when you, when you believe that your mind is like, (21:32) uh, it's going back to a subconscious program that that's not safe.(21:36) And it's simply because you just don't know. (21:39) All right. (21:39) There's just, no one's ever explained it to you.(21:42) No one's ever walked you through it. (21:44) No one's ever, um, helped you understand it. (21:48) Okay.(21:48) So when people come to me and they get ready to go through a session, so like (21:52) Lindsay has done sessions with me, so it's been, uh, it's so like, what happens (21:58) is, is that first thing I'll say is any good, uh, hypnotherapists or rapid (22:03) transformation therapists, they, they believe, like I believe, like I'm big (22:09) into Spider-Man with great power comes great responsibility. (22:12) Okay. (22:13) Because you're about to learn more about this person than pretty much anybody else.(22:19) Okay. (22:19) So what that does is that freaks people out, but everything that, that, that (22:25) person has said is completely confidential, right? (22:29) Like it stays with me and I would never mention their name, like their name with (22:33) the, you know, the thing that they said to me, that's crazy pants. (22:38) Okay.(22:38) So the first thing is that it's finding the right person that you feel totally (22:45) safe because you're, you're, there's a lot of people out there that are (22:49) like, oh, I can't be hypnotized. (22:51) And it's simply because they've, they've solidified that belief (22:55) that they can't be hypnotized. (22:57) And so their subconscious latches on.(22:59) It's like a wild thing. (23:00) There's so much, uh, the deeper down this rabbit hole I've gone. (23:04) It, it blows my mind, but let's say you, let's just imagine right now, (23:08) listeners that you are here for a session and I will walk you through (23:14) exactly kind of what, what goes down.(23:17) So we start off with the session and I always tell people you are in (23:23) 100% control, 100% of the time. (23:26) If we need to come out at any time, we can come out. (23:29) Uh, you are, you're, you're running the show.(23:33) I'm just guiding. (23:34) I'm just the guide during this entire process. (23:36) You get to decide what happens.(23:38) I, it's not possible for me to hypnotize somebody who (23:42) doesn't want to be hypnotized. (23:43) Okay. (23:44) And really all, all hypnosis is, is just changing a brainwave state.(23:49) Okay. (23:49) So here, this is where it gets really interesting folks. (23:52) Right before you go to sleep.(23:54) Okay. (23:54) I want you to imagine you're lying on your pillow. (23:57) You're about to fall asleep.(23:58) Your eyes are closed, all that stuff. (24:00) You're already making that transition into a different brainwave state. (24:05) It's the same deal.(24:06) It's the same thing. (24:08) Okay. (24:08) So all I'm doing is I'm kind of just turning off that protective (24:14) mechanism that would make it so that you wouldn't even be able to know (24:19) the stuff that you, like it blocks the ability for, so that, that's why (24:24) you could go to, you know, a decade of talk therapy and never actually (24:27) get to the root cause of the issue.(24:30) So when I heard that, I was like, man, I got to make sure that I can (24:33) speed this process up for people who don't have a decade, you (24:37) know, or more to, to get to that. (24:39) And that's not ever, and this is very important. (24:42) It's not every therapist, some really amazing therapists out there (24:45) that can get to the root really quickly.(24:47) But when you write off hypnotherapy as just like, well, it's too freaky. (24:52) It's too scary. (24:55) You're accepting a diagnosis that doesn't empower you.(24:59) So we're in the session. (25:01) You're in 100% control 100% of the time. (25:04) I say, you're going to look up into your eyebrows and if you're listening (25:07) right now, don't do anything.(25:08) So I'm about to say, okay, if you're driving or anything, okay. (25:13) I listen to a lot of stuff on walks or like when I'm driving. (25:16) So I just don't want anybody to get hurt.(25:17) So you look up into your eyebrows to a real or imagined spot overhead (25:21) and you start to breathe in and breathe out. (25:25) And we do that a couple of times. (25:27) And what happens to me naturally is I start blinking.(25:29) Okay. (25:30) And that's starting to shift into a different brainwave state. (25:33) Okay.(25:34) And so what happens is after I do that about three or four times, (25:36) then I closed down their eyes. (25:38) And what that does is it starts to create this fluttering behind your (25:42) eyelids so I can actually see it a lot of the times when somebody (25:45) has that going on for them. (25:47) Um, I feel like that's probably what a lot of the stage hypnosis (25:51) folks look for as well is like, what is their state? (25:54) Are they susceptible? (25:56) Okay.(25:57) And then I take them and I walk them down an imaginary set of stairs. (26:01) Okay. (26:02) So I have them look down, pretend they're walking down 10 steps and I (26:05) bring them down even deeper and deeper and deeper and I snap and to do (26:10) all this fun stuff and I'm just bringing them into an even deeper state.(26:14) Then I do another, I do different kinds of deep runners with people. (26:18) There's many different ways to do this. (26:20) And I just play off of whatever the person is, is, uh, showing right then (26:24) and there, but I, you know, an example of one is I can help, I can have them (26:30) imagine they have two magnets in the palms of their hands and they reach (26:34) them out straight in front of them.(26:35) You're not gonna be able to see this camera, but, uh, just, I have them (26:38) imagine they have two pot magnets in the palms of your hands and they're (26:41) coming closer and closer and closer. (26:43) And they touch or almost touch. (26:45) Like I would say 98% of the people, their hands touch, and then they brought (26:50) dropped down into the lap and I go way, way, way deeper.(26:54) And so all of this is just to get them into that state and what happens then (26:58) in there, sometimes I'll bring them to a place, I'll bring them to a beach (27:01) or whatever it is, right. (27:02) It depends on what, if it's their first time and whatnot. (27:05) Um, but.(27:08) Uh, at this point, now we can start to go back to scenes in your life that (27:17) help you let help us identify where this all began, like what were these (27:23) scenes and what was the mean feelings and meanings that we put to these (27:26) scenes that created this subconscious program, belief in habit, it's all it is. (27:32) And I've done about 500 sessions, maybe more. (27:36) I have kind of lost count at this point, but I've gone on a lot of journeys with (27:40) people, and this is the best way I like people to understand scenes like (27:44) regressions, going back to these scenes.(27:46) You are not reliving this stuff. (27:49) So that's what people are afraid of reliving it because they think (27:53) like traditional therapy, you go in the office, you talk about your problems. (27:56) You basically poke these wounds that were kind of healing.(28:00) You poke them, it hurts again. (28:01) And then you go home and you're like, (28:04) shit, Chris, sorry, bleep down. (28:11) Lindsay's got to go back and do extra work there.(28:17) Um, but that's what happens. (28:19) And it's like, people are like, I don't want to do that. (28:21) But what happens when we go through it this way is we get to see it and let it go.(28:27) We see it and we'd be free of it. (28:29) Okay. (28:29) And so that's the beauty of this is, is I like to think of it like if you and I (28:35) were going to a movie theater together and we go to the movie theater, we're (28:39) sitting in the seats and the previews come on and I'm like, Oh, I got to run to (28:44) the snack shack.(28:45) And I, uh, I'm like, here's a walkie talkie and I'm going to take one too. (28:51) So you can tell me what's happening in these scenes. (28:54) Okay.(28:54) So I go to the snack shack and you're telling me, you're like, oh, I'm (28:59) seeing this thing. (29:00) So you're not reliving it. (29:01) You're just seeing this scene on the screen timeline of your, you know, your (29:05) mind and you're seeing the scene, you're not reliving it.(29:08) And I'm just asking you questions about the scene. (29:11) I'm actually not trying to solve anything right then and there. (29:14) I'm just becoming a inquisitive, uh, you know, detective, and I'm just (29:20) learning what was the scene, what was the feelings that you had about the (29:24) scene and what did, what, what did you make that mean? (29:27) Okay.(29:28) And that allows us to gather all of these different scenes. (29:32) So we gather about three or four of them. (29:34) And then this is where I think this is a superpower that I have as, as an (29:41) individual, uh, with ADHD that truly believes that it's a superpower.(29:45) I have the ability to draw a line from through all of the scenes and, and see (29:52) the storyline and see the belief that's. (29:55) That it's created. (29:56) Okay.(29:57) And the nice part is then when we come together, I let you (30:01) verbalize what it is though. (30:03) Like I help, I let the person like say this and usually when they say it out (30:08) loud, a lot of times waterworks happens because they have let it go. (30:14) Okay.(30:14) So I do have people bring tissues and things like that because (30:17) we're going to let it go folks. (30:18) Yes, it happens. (30:19) Right.(30:20) And we get to let it go. (30:21) And it's a, it's a, I like to think of it as a, it's a good release. (30:25) Okay.(30:25) And I've seen releases in every sort of way. (30:28) And I remember when I did, uh, you know, cause I, I practice what I preach folks. (30:34) Like I've done everything for myself that I, that I do with other people.(30:37) So I, I've done my own, uh, rapid transformation, hypnotherapy, past (30:41) life aggressions, all this stuff. (30:43) And, um, I remember when I, when, when I put it all together in my own session (30:51) that in one of my own sessions that I said out loud, I said, I thought my brain (30:58) was broken because when I was younger, I had so many learning disabilities. (31:03) Like I literally had to relearn how to read as I was heading into high school.(31:07) So I had a lot of stuff around that and it helped, it, it, it led me to believe (31:13) that, and I never verbalized it like that. (31:16) I never, it had never come out of my mouth that I thought my brain was broken. (31:19) And Holy moly, I was like, well, like, like just lost it because I had never (31:25) realized I'd been holding on to that for 35 years, y'all.(31:30) So some people go to the grave with this stuff. (31:34) Some people have been holding on to something, you know, since they were (31:39) three, four or five, some are in the womb. (31:43) I had a scene in the womb and I had another woman.(31:47) She had a scene, uh, she was in the womb and we were, so just so everybody (31:52) knows most of the stuff is a lack of enoughness, we feel like we're not good (31:56) enough in some way, shape or form, self-love, self-worth, capability, or (32:00) confidence. (32:01) And so this woman went back and she was in the womb and her mother was, her (32:07) mother was debating on giving her up for adoption because the father at the time (32:13) was like, we can't keep it, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. (32:15) And so with the first, um, thing that we develop in the womb is our ability to (32:20) hear.(32:21) So she was hearing all of this stuff. (32:23) And so her enoughness literally started in the, in that moment, her lack of (32:29) enoughness started in that moment and she held onto it for so long. (32:32) That was why she had trouble releasing weight.(32:35) Like, cause she never, and, and, and I mean, we can go down this rabbit hole (32:40) too, but later on when I learned, uh, this, I learned that your body keeps the (32:45) score and your cells and your psyche, brain and organs were all connected (32:49) through German new medicine. (32:50) I learned that I learned that, um, like, uh, I'm drawing a blank on what the name (32:58) of it is, but, um, uh, sorry. (33:01) Abandonment conflict.(33:02) Okay. (33:03) Is an actual thing that a lot of, uh, younger kids experience when their (33:08) parents leave them at school for the first time or whatever it is, they drop (33:12) them off at daycare and that actually is part of why, uh, the kidney collecting (33:18) tubules store water and they gain weight. (33:20) It's like a wild, wild thing.(33:23) So, but it's, we can, we can totally go down that piece. (33:26) Cause I just have never stopped folks. (33:28) Like I've never stopped researching this, even though, even though I do very (33:33) different things now, like, you know, Lindsay was a client of mine from a (33:36) perspective and, and it's just like, I just love learning and I love learning (33:41) like why things are the way they are.(33:43) And I'll tell you this for those of you that have felt like you've tried (33:46) everything, you've just scratched the surface, like, because the mind is so (33:53) powerful at keep, like, I explain it this way and I think if you take nothing (33:58) else away from this, many of us are wearing a safety suit, like if you have (34:04) body fat on you that you don't want, it's probably protecting you, not just (34:11) quote unquote physically, but mentally. (34:14) And it's something that we've been wearing. (34:16) And for some of you, you've been wearing it most of your life.(34:22) And even like we can talk about any of these other things like PCOS and all (34:27) this stuff, it's usually there's a psyche, brain and organ connection with it all. (34:31) Okay. (34:32) So did I answer that question? (34:35) Yeah.(34:35) Yeah. (34:36) And actually it's a good lead in because I wanted to transition to German new (34:39) medicine. (34:40) Um, so can you just explain what is it a little bit more, you know, how does it (34:45) differ from traditional medicine or even just other mind, body, you know, healing (34:50) methods? (34:52) So I'll preface German new medicine with when I first came across this, um, I had (35:01) already read two books that really, really helped me like be able to actually (35:07) understand this concept.(35:09) So I read two books. (35:11) I read a book by Bruce Lipton called the biology of belief. (35:15) And it's interesting because I don't know if Bruce had ever looked at German (35:20) medicine at all, but like it was so connected.(35:23) So it was really fascinating. (35:24) That book, totally awesome. (35:26) Recommended to any listeners because, and also, uh, the body keeps the score.(35:31) So this is about how we store trauma in our body. (35:34) Okay. (35:35) We store trauma in ourselves.(35:36) And then also actually the last book is a book just called trauma by Paul Conti. (35:42) Also really, really, really powerful, powerful book. (35:45) And I just started going down.(35:47) This was probably circa 2018, 2019. (35:51) I'm diving into these, uh, things. (35:55) Maybe, I don't even know.(35:56) It may have been before that, but I just, just giving you some context. (36:00) Um, because I just, I was really, really fascinated with like how, how our mind (36:09) and everything is connected with our body. (36:12) Okay.(36:12) And like, how is that? (36:14) And for any of you that have, you know, ever heard of the placebo (36:18) effect or the nocebo effect, it's like really amazing, like really amazing. (36:23) You can give people pills that are sugar pills and they get better. (36:27) Like if that's not proof that like your mind is more powerful than (36:33) anything in your mind can heal.(36:36) Like, that's what I say to people all the time. (36:37) I'm not really helping them heal or do anything else like that. (36:42) I'm not a doctor.(36:43) I'm not, I don't pretend to be. (36:44) I am here to guide you to figure out the truth about how your mind (36:50) works and how powerful it really is. (36:53) And some people aren't ready for that.(36:56) And that's fair. (36:57) So basically I, in 2020, so January, 2020, I started my, or I was going (37:07) through my certification for rapid transformation therapy with Marisa (37:10) Pierre and finished, fully got certified everything in March, 2020. (37:17) And I don't know if you all remember what went down March, 2020.(37:21) It was kind of wild for those kids that are listening. (37:24) The, the, it's like, that was COVID. (37:27) It hit that time and it was nuts.(37:29) And of course, uh, the amount of people that volunteered to do sessions (37:34) with me, because I was in like my, like practice phase at that time. (37:39) I, I, I was able to do 100 sessions from March all the (37:47) way till December of that year. (37:49) I like went all in y'all.(37:50) Like, cause I was like, I want to go and see what happened. (37:53) You know, I, I don't know what else is going on. (37:56) So exactly, exactly.(37:57) So like, I was like, you know what, I'm going to use this time to get really (38:00) good because the interesting thing is I've never done a, uh, I've (38:04) never done a session in person. (38:06) Ever. (38:07) It's all been via zoom.(38:08) It's all like this, like it's really wild. (38:11) Uh, so, and I think that's part of the fact that I just never needed to, (38:16) like I never had to, and it actually was beneficial cause my whole business is (38:20) online so I could help anyone anywhere across the world, like I've (38:23) worked with people in Africa, Australia, UK, Japan, like literally everywhere. (38:30) So it, there's no place where I can't help someone, which I freaking love.(38:35) But, um, but of course when you start to learn all this stuff, so I read the (38:42) books, I read, uh, you know, I got certified, did a hundred sessions and (38:47) then I came across, um, my mentor Jake. (38:51) Okay. (38:51) So Jake shout out, he's just, he was the man and he introduced this (38:56) concept of German new medicine to me.(39:00) And I remember the first time I looked at it, it's a different language. (39:03) Like you go to the site and you're like, uh, I don't even know. (39:06) Like, I remember looking at it and being like, I don't understand any of this.(39:10) I want to, but I don't understand it. (39:14) And so this must've been 20, 21, 2022. (39:19) Okay.(39:19) 2022. (39:20) I remember because I had a tough year in 2022 and I'm so grateful to Jake, (39:27) like more than he'll ever know. (39:30) I tell him, I tell him anytime I talk to him, but, uh, he was offering mentorship (39:36) and training around German medicine.(39:38) And I was like, I want to do this. (39:40) I want to learn more about this, that I know there's something to it. (39:43) And I went into it like being like, oh, this will help my clients.(39:47) That was the thought process. (39:50) And like literally it was like a week or two. (39:53) And I said, I'm doing this for me.(39:55) And I don't often do that. (39:58) One of those people I love, love, love helping others. (40:01) But I was like, man, this actually has helped.(40:03) It's helped me. (40:06) It's helped me so much, so much. (40:10) And I know it's, it's helped you too, Lindsay, like, like learning about it.(40:14) It's just like such a fascinating thing. (40:15) So I think the best way to describe German medicine is to explain how it (40:19) is, how it happened, how it came about in the seventies, right? (40:24) Because it's, it's not well accepted. (40:28) Like it's just not, but because I've learned so much and I've seen so much and (40:34) I been in the trenches with people, it made so much sense and it made me realize (40:39) how powerful it was, how powerful it is and how, when you can really like combine (40:48) this with things like rapid transformation therapy and hypnotherapy and stuff like (40:52) that, the, it is, it is powerful.(40:57) Okay. (40:57) And so basically the story goes like this. (41:02) Uh, I want to make sure I say this correctly, all of it correctly.(41:09) So, oh my goodness, I'm drawing blanks. (41:12) We'll get there. (41:13) Don't worry.(41:14) I'm going to be, it'll be all right. (41:16) So Dr. (41:18) Hamer, okay. (41:19) So Dr. (41:19) Hamer, he is a well-known cancer doctor in Germany at the time.(41:25) Okay. (41:25) So he starts to, um, you know, be very well known in, in, in these circles. (41:32) And he's just, you know, he has a whole clinic and he's treating (41:35) patients and so on and so forth.(41:37) And then his son Dirk, uh, I believe he went to Italy and he ended up, um, had (41:44) like a fluke incident where like an Italian Prince, uh, shot him. (41:48) Okay. (41:49) In intensive care for two weeks, uh, died in Dr. (41:54) Hamer in, in dad's arms.(41:56) Okay. (41:56) Dies in dad's arms and obviously traumatizing, right? (42:03) To lose a kid for sure. (42:05) And so what happens is within three months, Dr. (42:09) Hamer developed testicular cancer.(42:12) And he was like, this doesn't make sense. (42:16) He, he partially, he was like, there's gotta be something around my son's (42:22) death and this diagnosis, like there's gotta be something here. (42:27) Okay.(42:28) And so he, of course, having the ability to go and check in with other (42:35) testicular cancer patients, he goes and he checks in with all of them and he (42:40) goes to his clinic and he starts interviewing all of them. (42:43) He says, he asks all of them. (42:46) He says, you know, was there anything that happened, you know, acute (42:50) traumatizing thing, uh, pre testicular cancer diagnosis.(42:57) Okay. (42:58) And not just one, but every single one of them, like it might've been a (43:02) dog dying or whatever it is. (43:04) Right.(43:04) So this blew his mind. (43:07) And of course, at this point, my mind, I'm starting to geek out. (43:10) Cause like, I'm like, this is crazy.(43:12) Like there's the, you know, we start following the, the, the breadcrumbs. (43:16) And so he was like, all right, I need to start doing brain scans on these (43:20) folks and start seeing like, you know, there's this psychological conflict (43:25) that's happened, right? (43:26) This acute trauma that's happened. (43:28) And then does it have an impact on the brain? (43:32) So he starts doing these brain scans and he realizes that in all of these (43:36) testicular cancer patients on their brain, in a certain spot on all these (43:40) folks brain, there's this cylinder, this ring that develops on their brain.(43:45) Okay. (43:45) He calls it a hammer focus and he's blown away. (43:50) Okay.(43:51) And of course the imaging in that time, he wanted to make sure that (43:54) it wasn't like, just like a fluke. (43:56) So he not only did it from up top, but he did it from the side as well, just (44:00) to check and every patient, everything across the board, all of them hit. (44:05) He's like, man, this is, this is crazy.(44:08) And so then he started to dig in. (44:10) Okay. (44:11) Well, why? (44:12) Right.(44:12) Why is this happening? (44:14) And so what he realized is that, and I don't have all of the jargon around this, (44:21) but this is what my takeaway from it was when you start to develop a, uh, like a (44:28) mass, right? (44:29) Like a tumor on your testicle, you, it, it, it increases your testosterone and (44:37) it increases a lot of the other things in your testicle that makes it easier to, (44:44) uh, procreate. (44:45) Okay. (44:46) And so it basically, which there's wild.(44:50) And so his body, right? (44:52) You have this trauma and his brain was like, this is what's happening. (44:57) Here's this issue so that you can procreate again, solving the (45:03) problem of your lost child. (45:06) And that's when my jaw fell to the floor and I was like, I need to know more.(45:12) Like, I need to know more. (45:13) I need to know why this happens. (45:15) I need to know all of these things.(45:17) Like I, I was like, I need to know everything before, when I looked at the (45:20) site, it was so confusing after learning that. (45:23) And after, you know, spending a year with Jake, like I just was like, (45:28) everything has a connection. (45:30) I mean, everything.(45:32) Okay. (45:32) And this is very, very important for those of you that are already freaking (45:35) out when you're listening to this and you're like, oh my God, he's saying (45:39) that, you know, this is, you could cure cancer, blah, blah, blah. (45:42) No, I'm not saying any of that.(45:44) Okay. (45:44) You do your own research folks. (45:46) Okay.(45:46) I'm just telling you what I've learned in my own experience with folks (45:51) and how this has all gone down. (45:52) Okay. (45:55) Um, so then I'm learning from Jake and one of my favorite stories he tells (45:59) is about a guy that came to him that had an allergy to, uh, pizza.(46:07) And he says that he, you know, this guy, he can have, he can have cheese (46:12) on its own and he's totally fine. (46:14) He can have bread on its own. (46:15) It's totally fine.(46:15) And he can have sauce on its own. (46:17) It's totally fine. (46:18) And so he goes, well, when, you know, you obviously haven't been (46:21) allergic to pizza your whole life.(46:22) And he's like, no. (46:23) And he said, well, when's the first time you remember being allergic to pizza? (46:27) And he had to go back. (46:28) The guy went back to this time in university.(46:31) Okay. (46:33) And he said there was a time in university when he, uh, he had this (46:42) idea that he would go out, he would get a whole pizza, he was like (46:45) a broke college kid, right? (46:47) So he'd go out, he'd get a pizza, he'd be able to eat it for dinner and (46:51) then save it for the next day and have it for lunch, classic college kid math. (46:56) Right.(46:57) And so he goes out with his buddies, they get, you know, hammered and (47:02) they get this pizza or eating the pizza. (47:04) One of his buddies was so drunk that when, when, when he tried to get out (47:11) of the car and take the pizza with him, his buddy like freaks out, lost his (47:16) mind and takes the whole pizza and throws it at his, at his face. (47:21) Okay.(47:22) Throws it, his face, he gets pizza and it's all dripping down, all that stuff. (47:25) From then on out, because of that moment in time, it was very traumatic to him. (47:30) He then would try to eat pizza and he'd have like these allergic reactions.(47:34) Psyche, brain, organ, stop. (47:37) Right. (47:38) And of course, when Jake worked him through this and he had all these (47:40) ahas, he now can eat pizza.(47:43) He's fine. (47:44) Okay. (47:45) But we have to see it and be free of it.(47:48) And so I realized I was doing this anyways, without even knowing about (47:51) German new medicine when I was doing our, you know, rapid transformation therapy, RTT. (47:56) So I was like, man, this is crazy. (47:59) This is so nuts.(48:01) Okay. (48:01) And so I started to realize, and this was another one. (48:05) So I had a client of mine.(48:08) She, uh, and then I'm going to give you all some amazing stuff tonight or (48:12) today, whatever you're listening to this. (48:14) Okay. (48:15) Around German new medicine, but, uh, are we cool? (48:18) Are we still good? (48:18) We keep going.(48:19) Okay, cool. (48:20) So I had a client on a call. (48:22) She had caught COVID.(48:24) This was during COVID time where this was a group call. (48:27) She caught COVID, uh, her apartment at the time had, um, mold. (48:33) So she like was displaced.(48:36) Okay. (48:37) We call that a refugee conflict. (48:39) Okay.(48:39) In German new medicine. (48:40) So she was displaced. (48:42) And then her best friend and her had like a falling out.(48:46) So we, she also had a, um, she had a refugee conflict and an abandonment (48:51) conflict. (48:52) Okay. (48:53) And then she was sick on top of that.(48:55) And so this is where I started to like apply it with my clients. (48:59) So she, she says to me, she brings all this up before she even (49:02) explained that other stuff. (49:05) She said, I developed this horrible eczema back behind my ear, (49:09) like horrible, horrible eczema.(49:11) She's like, it's brutal. (49:13) And I'm like, I'm like, that's, that's horrible. (49:16) And then, so I just started asking her questions and that's how I learned (49:18) those three things that happened to her.(49:20) And so then I asked her this question that literally like made (49:23) her cry and blew her mind. (49:25) I said, you know, when you had your best friend in a moment like this, (49:29) because of course, when you get, you know, kicked out of your apartment (49:31) and you have COVID, you want your people you love the most around you. (49:35) Right.(49:36) And so I said, when she would, you know, comfort you or like (49:40) console you or whatever it was, what would she do? (49:43) And this is when her eyes like blew up and she like started crying. (49:48) She goes, she would, she used to take my hair and she would rub like my (49:53) hair and bring it behind my ear. (49:55) Like, and just do one of those things, kind of like your mother (49:58) would do when you were a kid.(49:59) She'd like stroke your hair and, you know, not for me, I was, but I think (50:03) this is what you would do if you had a little girl, right. (50:06) But, you know, so it's, it's, it's not like an uncommon thing, (50:10) but that's what she would do. (50:11) And so my client was like, that's nuts.(50:16) And literally within a week, eczema gone, gone, like all gone, like nuts, (50:21) because we resolved the conflict at the level of the psyche. (50:24) And I didn't even have, that wasn't even hypnosis. (50:26) That was on a group call, like one night.(50:28) And the other client, the other clients were kind of blown away as well. (50:31) They're like, this is nuts, but there's basically three things. (50:35) And if you're open to it, I have questions that you can ask yourself (50:39) just around weight release alone, if that's something we want to do, or (50:44) we can put it into the show notes if they want that as well, but it's (50:48) really powerful because there's basically three different conflicts (50:51) that come up for people when it comes to, they're basically journal (50:57) questions that you can ask yourself.(50:59) And there's three types of conflicts when it comes to weight. (51:05) Okay. (51:05) Weight gain and stuff like that.(51:07) Um, and then there's also questions that you can ask yourself PCOS, maybe (51:11) we'll include those things in the shows, whatever, but, um, before we go into (51:16) that, it was there, I just unloaded like three crazy stories on people. (51:20) So, um, no, I want to make sure we're on track. (51:24) Yeah.(51:24) Yeah. (51:24) I think that, that really, like, I just want, my goal for this was just to (51:30) kind of become aware of the concept and learn, you know, a little bit about (51:34) what it was, um, yeah, I mean, we could always bring you back for another time (51:38) and we could go deeper, of course, but. (51:40) Uh, I think just learning about it, like even for me now that I understand the (51:45) concept, I can just kind of like, you know, when my brain starts going, (51:50) cause again, we're very similar in that way, you know, just start learning (51:54) about it, um, but you have to understand like the base, you know, the basis (51:58) of where it's coming from for sure.(52:00) That's for sure. (52:01) Yeah. (52:01) And it helped me understand a lot around, um, uh, sexual (52:07) trauma as well for people.(52:09) Um, and whether it's male or female, um, a lot of times you'll have females, (52:15) um, and they're not linking sexual trauma with things like hysterectomies (52:20) and stuff like that, like they're just not putting it all together. (52:23) Um, maybe they blocked it out. (52:25) There's just a lot of things around that.(52:26) So it's, it's a, it's an interesting, uh, just a different thought process. (52:32) And if you hear this and you're like bullshit, you know, by all (52:36) means, totally get it. (52:37) Like I 100% get it.(52:39) And, um, when I started learning about this stuff for myself, it (52:45) made pain go away in my body. (52:47) I'll give you an example. (52:49) So I learned that a lot of your enoughness issues, uh, lead to pain (52:56) in your hips.(52:57) Okay. (52:58) Cause I had like lower back pain and hip pain since freshmen in high school. (53:03) When I learned about all this and I learned about the link between (53:06) the hips and all that stuff.(53:08) It blew my mind because I went back there and I realized what (53:12) had happened during that timeframe. (53:14) So I went from the biggest guy on the football team in eighth grade, just (53:19) like no one could stop me in eighth grade to freshmen in high school, (53:25) getting run over by seniors in high school. (53:28) And so I literally developed this conflict.(53:31) Right. (53:32) And I was out my, I was out for half of the freshman year with hip pain. (53:37) Right.(53:37) And of course, when you look at it, it was like, Oh, hip flexor, this (53:40) is your issue, so on and so forth. (53:42) But why did the hip flexor tighten up? (53:44) Why was all this stuff? (53:45) Yes, there is peak height velocity. (53:47) There's, you know, growing children, all that stuff.(53:49) There's all that stuff. (53:51) And I just look at it like, what if there is a psyche, psyche, brain and organ (53:56) connection between all of these things? (53:58) It's worth taking a peek at. (54:00) Right.(54:00) And if you're open to it, it can change your life because I don't (54:04) have that problem anymore, which blows my mind. (54:07) I had pain in my hip my whole life. (54:09) I did so much foam rolling and so much myofascial release, you know, physical (54:14) therapy, and it's interesting because anytime in my life that I start to feel (54:21) like I'm not enough, I'll start to get slight pain back and it's just the (54:27) weirdest thing to me, but I am able to be aware of that and, and that's the thing.(54:32) Awareness, like you just said is, is sometimes that's all we need just to be (54:38) aware of the fact that this is possible. (54:40) Yeah. (54:41) Yeah.(54:42) So with PCOS, it's a lot of times, uh, tied to a loss conflict. (54:48) So can you maybe talk about that a little bit more? (54:51) For sure. (54:52) So yeah, like as you, uh, and just so everybody understands when I say these (54:57) different things, like abandonment, conflict, refugee conflict, existing (55:00) conflict, lost conflict, like it's, these are just different psychological, (55:06) uh, conflicts that we can go through.(55:08) Right. (55:09) So like abandonment conflict, you, it could be like, where do you (55:13) feel isolated in your life? (55:15) Have you been excluded? (55:16) Okay. (55:18) Now a lost conflict, this can cause a whole host of different things.(55:24) Okay. (55:24) It can, it can cause a whole host of different things and you can have lost (55:27) conflicts in so many different ways. (55:29) Like you, let's say you lose, uh, an animal.(55:33) Okay. (55:34) You lose like, for me, like literally my golden retriever is (55:37) underneath my feet right now. (55:39) She's my girl, like she's my shadow.(55:42) And if anything happened, a lot of people don't realize how, how powerful and (55:47) important these, these things are in our lives, but you know, you lose a loved one. (55:52) You lose a child, you lose anything. (55:54) Right.(55:54) Um, it can have a massive impact on you. (55:57) So I know for me and my wife, we had two miscarriages and, um, thinking back now, (56:04) knowing and understanding the subconscious and understanding German (56:08) medicine and understanding all of that and understanding the stress and stuff (56:13) that we were going through during that timeframe, my wife felt like she'd lost (56:19) her husband because I, the crazy person that I am was a full-time teacher. (56:24) 8 AM to 3 PM, then going and running a fitness facility from three 30 to 8 PM (56:28) and destroying my health while I'm running this whole thing, which was nuts.(56:33) Lindsay and I could go all day on that one. (56:35) That's a whole different podcast, but, but, uh, but of course, like her body (56:40) wouldn't let her hold a child, right? (56:43) Like, because it was unsafe, unfamiliar. (56:45) Like, it was like, what if he keeps doing this? (56:47) What if I lose him? (56:49) It's not safe to bring a child into this, you know? (56:52) And of course I closed the fitness facility.(56:55) Um, and she started doing the work she needed to do internally. (56:59) Um, after IVF failed a bunch of times, she went to acupuncture and it was crazy (57:06) because my wife went to acupuncture. (57:08) I can't always have trouble telling the story.(57:09) Give me a second. (57:11) Uh, she went to acupuncture and oh my goodness, I was, she came home and it (57:16) was like, blood came back to her body. (57:17) Like, I remember seeing her and being like, I got my wife back and literally (57:22) we got pregnant within a month of that.(57:24) But it was like crazy. (57:26) Cause it's like, everything's interconnected folks. (57:31) Like if you don't, if you, if you, if you realize just from this show today, like (57:37) if you just realize the power that you have in your body and your mind, that (57:44) your body and your mind is so powerful.(57:47) Like it, it just, it's what it's, what's allowed me to heal my life, my body. (57:53) I know for you as well, right? (57:55) So that's why having these conversations about this stuff is so important. (58:00) So loss conflict folks, if you realize when your symptoms, this is, so this is (58:07) kind of how we do it with, with, uh, any of this stuff.(58:10) So we actually don't, uh, in Germany medicine, you don't look at (58:13) it from a diagnosis standpoint. (58:15) You're not like PCOS, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. (58:18) You look at it from a symptom standpoint.(58:22) What are the symptoms? (58:23) That this person's going through. (58:25) Okay. (58:26) So there's obviously a lot of symptoms and I'm sure you go through those great (58:33) detail on the podcast, but there's a lot of symptoms and a lot of things that can (58:36) happen.(58:36) So you go back to that time where you first experienced that symptom. (58:43) Okay. (58:44) So that's, if you, if you do nothing else with this information today, (58:48) folks start investigating.(58:50) Now, interestingly enough, uh, when it comes, this is something fascinating. (58:55) I learned for those of you that have skin issues, so particularly skin issues, it (59:02) creates a memory loss thing. (59:05) And so a lot of times people have trouble remembering where it started.(59:10) It's like a weird thing, just with skin issues, just with skin issues. (59:13) Fascinating stuff. (59:14) Um, so that's that, but with, with any of your symptoms from (59:20) PCOS, I, I just implore you to just go back and think, when did this start? (59:25) Cause it probably wasn't there your whole life.(59:28) So it's worth going back and saying, oh, you know, during this time I had a (59:35) horrible loss conflict, you know, like I, uh, my first love, like I, you know, I (59:43) lost him or her and they, you know, either they pass away or they just, you (59:51) know, that's just stuck, right. (59:54) And everybody he's different. (59:56) Okay.(59:56) So like, that's, that's what I try to tell my clients all the time. (59:59) Like trauma is trauma. (1:00:02) Your trauma is no less than anybody else's.(1:00:05) Like you might label it that way, but your mind doesn't (1:00:09) compartmentalize this stuff. (1:00:10) Y'all like, it's not like, oh, over here, this is where our weight loss (1:00:14) stuff is in this part of our brain. (1:00:16) This is where we do deal with money.(1:00:18) This is where, like, this is where we deal with business. (1:00:20) Like it's all connected. (1:00:22) And that's why, like, as a coach myself, like, I don't limit myself to just (1:00:28) business or just health and stuff like that.(1:00:30) It's all connected y'all, like every single thing. (1:00:34) And that's where, when you, when you realize this, it, it, it empowers you. (1:00:42) That's, that's the goal.(1:00:43) It's the empowerment of all of this. (1:00:45) Mm-hmm. (1:00:46) Which is definitely an overarching theme.(1:00:48) I mean, I say it in my intros a lot, you know, it's just with this podcast. (1:00:53) Yeah. (1:00:54) I just want you to walk away feeling empowered and just a little bit more (1:00:58) knowledgeable and know, you know, kind of more what's out there, you know, (1:01:02) dive into some of these symptoms more, know that you don't just have to (1:01:05) accept what you're given and there is more for sure.(1:01:09) Um, I was going to add, yeah, the, uh, or ask, I guess, um, the freeing part (1:01:17) that you've mentioned, cause I think that's a huge part too. (1:01:20) So yes, they can tie it to, you know, whatever it was that loss or whatever (1:01:25) that is, but then just the freeing part of that, um, I think is, yeah. (1:01:32) Is the huge part of, and this is so important and I hope if you're (1:01:36) listening, you've made it this far.(1:01:38) Cause this is a really, really important piece to this puzzle (1:01:41) that people don't understand. (1:01:42) When you resolve an issue at the level of the psyche. (1:01:47) So let's say after you listen to this show, you go back and you're like, (1:01:52) oh my God, you like have this remembrance of this thing and you're (1:01:57) linking it all together and you, you resolve it and you have that freeing (1:02:01) feeling, like Lindsay said, what can happen is you can go into what's (1:02:05) called a healing phase.(1:02:07) Okay. (1:02:07) Now healing phase sucks. (1:02:11) Okay.(1:02:11) And what happens is a lot of times people think, oh no, it's getting (1:02:16) worse when you're actually healing. (1:02:19) Okay. (1:02:20) So that's why I, you know, I give this warning because what happens is, is (1:02:27) that when you resolve it, the level of the psyche, it can start a whole (1:02:31) process of, um, healing inside of your body that, that happens.(1:02:35) It has nothing to do with me or Lindsay. (1:02:37) It's your body doing the work because you've resolved it at the level of the (1:02:41) psyche, then at the level of the brain. (1:02:42) And then the organs just start doing whatever they're doing.(1:02:45) I mean, I had clients that worked with me. (1:02:48) They would go through, um, not just the mental part of it, the rapid (1:02:52) transformation therapy part, but the eating part. (1:02:55) And, you know, they were literally, this was blew my mind.(1:02:59) They were, they were in menopause and then they were doing the eating stuff (1:03:06) and the mental stuff, the mind and body stuff. (1:03:09) That's, that's why I call my program, the mind and body master. (1:03:11) It's like, and then they all of a sudden went backwards and they went out of (1:03:19) menopause and they get pissed because they're like, I thought I was done with (1:03:22) this, you know, and, and yet, uh, it's because the body is in the mind are so (1:03:28) powerful and they're fully linked.(1:03:30) You're not disconnecting those folks. (1:03:31) So, um, awareness is powerful, but it can also create healing. (1:03:35) Okay.(1:03:36) Yeah. (1:03:37) Yeah. (1:03:38) Uh, I know we kind of need to wrap up.(1:03:41) So what are some simple or are there, I know the answer to this. (1:03:47) Are there some simple techniques that listeners can try at home to begin tapping (1:03:52) into their subconscious for healing? (1:03:54) Absolutely. (1:03:55) I mean, I put out a lot of, uh, just hypnosis recordings online.(1:04:01) Um, so you could totally use those, but, um, that's one way. (1:04:06) Uh, another way, and this is probably the easiest, best way is when you do (1:04:13) visualization, you create an emotional connection to it. (1:04:19) So our subconscious is not, it's not so much affected by our thoughts, but it's (1:04:26) affected by our emotionally charged thoughts.(1:04:30) Okay. (1:04:30) So if you've ever heard, you know, your thoughts create your reality, it's really (1:04:34) like, I mean, everything we've talked about today explains how like trauma, if (1:04:41) you have a traumatic experience, it can affect you for the rest of your life. (1:04:46) Right.(1:04:46) If you let it. (1:04:47) Um, so I always say like, if we can create an emotional, emotionally (1:04:53) charged thoughts in our mind, it can, um, make such a huge impact. (1:05:00) So I call it the wish fulfilled.(1:05:02) So it's just like thinking in your mind, like bringing a scene to your mind that (1:05:08) is very, uh, that can only happen if the thing that you want is, uh, has occurred. (1:05:17) Okay. (1:05:18) So let me give you an example.(1:05:19) I do this with, uh, you know, women that want to, uh, like find the love of their (1:05:26) life. (1:05:27) I also do it with women that want to have babies. (1:05:29) Okay.(1:05:30) So the cool thing is about those two things is if you, let's say you want to (1:05:35) find the love of your life and get married, I have them imagine themselves (1:05:39) on their wedding day and I have them, uh, with, they don't usually have a ring yet. (1:05:44) So they're just like, they're spinning the ring on their finger and they're, you (1:05:49) know, they're, uh, they're spinning the ring on their finger and they're looking (1:05:53) at their significant other and they're walking, you know, and maybe it's walking (1:05:57) down the aisle or, you know, maybe it's your dance or whatever, and you're just (1:06:00) having that moment and you're feeling it. (1:06:02) So like, I'm already there.(1:06:04) Like, I can't get it out of my head. (1:06:05) I'm already there just thinking about it. (1:06:07) And you just have that moment and you do that.(1:06:12) Right. (1:06:13) When you wake up in the morning, right before you go to sleep at night, very (1:06:18) simple, why do people not do it? (1:06:19) Because it's super freaking simple. (1:06:22) And yet it's those and why in the morning and at night, those are the most, uh, (1:06:29) influential times of the day for your subconscious guy.(1:06:33) Now, could you do it at any time of day? (1:06:35) Absolutely. (1:06:35) So don't get all dogmatic. (1:06:37) Okay.(1:06:37) Um, but you could do it anytime of the day. (1:06:39) Same goes for like, like I said, with the, you know, you know, if a woman's (1:06:45) trying to get pregnant and I'm working with her on that, like we do it, like (1:06:48) she's holding the baby and all those things and all the, you know, the (1:06:51) beauties of motherhood and things like that, but you can do this with any of (1:06:54) the symptoms or things and that you want to dissipate over time. (1:06:58) Like this is imagine yourself that you could only have this thing happen.(1:07:04) If you were living in your desired reality, AKA wish fulfilled, and then (1:07:09) you just, you just do that. (1:07:11) Now, why do people not do it? (1:07:13) Well, subconscious doesn't want you to, it loves what's safe, (1:07:18) familiar, predictable, and certain. (1:07:19) So it'll be like, nah, that Matt dude, don't listen to him.(1:07:23) Lindsay, I'm not listening to her anymore. (1:07:24) Right. (1:07:25) So I'm just telling you folks what will happen.(1:07:28) It'll try to talk you out of it. (1:07:29) And if you keep pushing through it, right, you're going to create this (1:07:33) identity in this, uh, transformation and your future will never be the same. (1:07:39) Yeah.(1:07:39) I know in my program, I've used your recordings. (1:07:43) Um, and yeah, I mean, I've, I've gotten all good feedback of course. (1:07:48) And, but one thing is like, some people don't fall asleep to it, but they (1:07:52) listen to it first thing in the morning, just kind of as they're waking up and (1:07:55) starting their day and doing some things.(1:07:57) And of course that's always better than turning on the news or grabbing (1:08:00) your phone, you know, too. (1:08:02) So, yeah. (1:08:03) Um, that's a great point.(1:08:06) Yeah. (1:08:06) And like, and like, like I said, like if you, if you're like, I don't want to do (1:08:10) hypnosis, I don't want to do anything that all I just explained to you right (1:08:13) there, emotionally charged thoughts and imagining that your mind doesn't know (1:08:17) what's real or imagined folks. (1:08:19) It doesn't know.(1:08:20) Perfect example of this is if you've ever watched a horror film and freaked out (1:08:25) when, you know, the chainsaw guy jumps out, you freak out, your mind thinks (1:08:29) that that's happening, so you don't know. (1:08:32) Right. (1:08:32) So isn't that weird? (1:08:33) And then of course you're asleep with the lights on, but you know, as a (1:08:35) logical adult that it's not real, but yet you freak yourself out.(1:08:40) Yeah. (1:08:41) It's wild, but that's the mind. (1:08:43) That is.(1:08:45) Uh, so last question is how can people get in touch with you or find you if they (1:08:50) want to, you know, learn more about what you do and learn more about all this stuff? (1:08:55) Yeah, absolutely. (1:08:56) I'm one of those folks where like, when you connect with me, whether it's on (1:09:01) Instagram at the potential you, which is the letter you, the potential you one (1:09:07) word, um, or on LinkedIn coach, Matt Travis, or on Facebook, just look up my (1:09:13) profile, Matt Travis, it's the one that looks like me. (1:09:16) I always like, I recommend people reach out and ask me a question.(1:09:22) Like I'm a human being and I genuinely like my Dharma is to help people. (1:09:27) That's it. (1:09:28) And so I think a lot of times people will listen to stuff like this and they feel (1:09:32) like, Oh, I can, I can never just like reach out and ask them something or (1:09:36) whatever it is, that's not the way I roll.(1:09:38) So if you, you're more than welcome to just follow along on the journey and stuff (1:09:42) like that, I do work with mostly entrepreneurs and, um, do a lot of business (1:09:48) stuff at this point in my, in my life. (1:09:50) Um, but the mind, body and business are all connected and that's my whole thing is (1:09:55) the mind, body, business transformation. (1:09:56) So I do have a really cool, uh, thing that people can, um, go through that if (1:10:02) they want, it's just absolutely free.(1:10:04) So, um, you know, I'd be glad to give them that. (1:10:07) And it's just to help you ultimately figure this out for yourself. (1:10:12) And I will also shout out Lindsay.(1:10:15) She's one of the best in the game when it comes to this. (1:10:18) And like, when I brought her on as a client, I just wanted more people to find. (1:10:24) Uh, you, because you just are like literally a gift to the world and they just need you, (1:10:31) uh, as a guide to help them through this process.(1:10:35) Because like I said, I think this is a good way to wrap it in a bro and a bow (1:10:39) is Lindsay won't let you accept a diagnosis that doesn't empower you. (1:10:44) That's actually a good, maybe theme for the whole podcast, but, but, but that's (1:10:51) the thing. (1:10:52) It's like, sometimes when you, when you find the right person and they just get (1:10:56) you and Lindsay, so down to earth and real with people and, um, she has protocols (1:11:02) at work and, and it's just like, yeah, like, you know, and we're me and Lindsay (1:11:07) are a team.(1:11:07) Like I, like I have, when you join her program, like my hypnosis recordings (1:11:12) come with it because it's, you know, like it's, if we can help as many women as (1:11:18) possible, that's all we really care about. (1:11:21) That's it. (1:11:22) So that's, that's it.(1:11:25) Awesome. (1:11:27) Such good stuff. (1:11:28) Um, yeah, I mean, I feel like we're going to have to do this again.(1:11:31) Sure. (1:11:32) Sure. (1:11:32) We'll, we'll do another one.(1:11:33) We didn't even go half through all of this stuff. (1:11:36) That was pretty deep. (1:11:37) Yeah.(1:11:38) Um, but I really appreciate you taking the time to share all of this and be on (1:11:42) here and yeah, empower and educate and all that good stuff. (1:11:47) Uh, so thank you. (1:11:48) Thank you.(1:11:48) Thank you.
